Acoustic Guitar Project 2023 Launch Party

Amplify Academy Of Music has teamed up with the Acoustic Guitar Project - a global music initiative in it's 10th year, featuring thousands of songwriters across the globe, from Toronto to Tokyo.

With it's roots in the USA, the A.G.P aims to help discover, support and nurture song writing talent, and champion the benefits that things brings to mental health and wellbeing.

We'll kick things off with this launch party at The Glad Cafe on Monday 1st May, where we'll present the first artist with a guitar and recording equipment. Each artist will have one week to write a new song, upload audio/video to the AGP song library, sign the guitar and pass it over to the next artist. 

At the end of the ten weeks you're all invited to perform your original work at the Amplify Music Academy Summer Festival in Sunday 30th July in Maxwell Park, Glasgow.

Amplify Academy of Music are honoured to have been selected as curator of the AGP in it's very first year in Scotland. We can't wait to show the world what amazing musical talent lies within our great city of Glasgow!
